70 years since the judicial murder of Milada Horáková

On June 27, 1950, Czech politician Milada Horáková was hanged by the communist regime following a fabricated trial for treason.

To honor the memory of Milada Horáková, recordings from her trial were transmitted in Prague today by sirens and at the metro stations.

This is part of an initiative called Milada 70: Murdered by Communists. Banners with Horáková's portrait and the caption "Murdered by Communists" were also hung on several buildings in Prague, including the National Museum or the Faculty of Law, where she studied.

The Communist Party (KSČM) criticized the initiative for "fanning anti-communist hatred".
