8 out of 10 Czechs do not know anyone with COVID-19

The survey that took place in May showed that 83 percent of Czechs do not know anyone who was infected by the disease. 1 in 10 citizens have felt symptoms and thought they might have had coronavirus. The information was brought by the CVVM and ČTK.

Over 90 percent of respondents obeyed the rules of wearing masks. Most of them were also more carefull and washed their hands more often. Most Czechs reduced traveling with public transport and limited visits of their family members, friends and business partners. Roughly 60 percent people were watching covid news on TV, radio and newspaper - less interest was given to the social media and internet itself.

The survey took place between 7th and 23rd of May and 1043 people older than 18 years participated in it.
