Medical staff in the Czech Republic vaccinated 58,928 people against Covid-19 on Thursday. This is the most since the start of vaccination in December. However, the Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) said in mid-March that the goal after Easter is to vaccinate hundred thousandy people a day.

So far, almost two million people have received at least one dose of the vaccine and over 600 thousand of them have been vaccinated with both required doses.
The capacities of vaccination centers and GP clinics are sufficient to vaccinate 100,000 people a day, but there are few vaccines. The vaccination has been done with vaccines from Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca so far. The first deliveries from Johnson & Johnson should also arrive in the second half of April, which, unlike vaccines from other manufacturers, only need to be given in one dose.
A large-capacity vaccination center run by the Central Military Hospital in Prague is being tested in the O2 universum hall on Friday. About a thousand people, mainly soldiers, police and paramedics, should receive the vaccine during Friday's trial run. At full operation, the center could vaccinate about 7,000 people a day.

According to the January estimate, the cost of building the center is 11.8 million crowns. Prime Minister Babiš emphasized that the owner does not demand rent, and the state only pays operating costs.
