According to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO), the experts are considering tracing only the severe cases of COVID-19 in the future.

Babiš said at a press conference that more information would be announced by Friday. After the change of the rules, people who have met an infected individual but experience no symptoms would not have to isolate themselves. They also would not have to get tested.

The hygienists are also debating another change - if someone meets an infected person but is wearing a respirator at the time, they would not have to quarantine.

This information comes as the Prague hygiene station has admitted that due to the large number of cases in the capital, it can hardly manage contact tracing. However, even though coronavirus cases have been spiking in recent days, the number of people who are in a serious condition is not increasing dramatically.
