Beginning next Monday, Czechs and people from other five nations will have to prove themselves with a negative covid test. They have to pay for it and the test must not be older than 72 hours. For many people it is a huge complication before their holidays.

The price of the test differs from place to place. Hospitals offer their tests for 1756 crowns whereas private clinics or additional service such as quick result can cost 7000 thousand crowns. People also have to have a confirmation from their general practicioners. According to the epidemiologists, that might be a problem because the GPs usually do not work at weekends.

People who can prove their trip to Greece and time of departure will get a chance to go first. The number of people who have their holidays booked in the period from 17 of August till the end of September is approximately 32 thousand.

The Prime Minister Andrej Babiš stated that he was surprised by the Greek measure and was ready to debate releasing the measure with the Greek side. Czechs who booked their holidays in Greece and want to cancel their vacation should not expect full refund, according to travel agencies.
