The Ministry of Health changed the rules on ending quarantine for patients without symptoms.

Patients without symptoms will not be tested again after two weeks of isolation. They will be considered non-infectious.

The new rules are based on recommendations of the World Health Organization and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. The virus has been found to survive eight to ten days in most people.

After that, tests can still come out positive, but they are detecting a dead virus. Therefore, the patient is not infectious and does not have to be isolated for the whole time they test positive.

Fully asymptomatic patients can end quarantine after 14 days. Patients with symptoms may stop isolating after two weeks if they have been without symptoms for at least four days.
