Recently, people have been interested in exotic holidays. According to the Student Agency company, interest in flights to Zanzibar and the Maldives has grown by more than 200 percent. These destinations thus replace traditional Thailand, Vietnam and Bali, which are closed to tourists due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Demand for flights from Prague to the Maldives is currently 287 percent higher than last year, for Zanzibar it is 200 percent. Most tickets to these destinations are sold with Qatar Airways.

On the other hand, people are less interested in Dubai, where the demand for tickets is 35 percent lower than last year. The main reason is the limited offer of connecting flights to Asia. According to the Student Agency, there is still very little air travel in Europe. In November, the most popular destinations were Malaga, London, Tenerife, Palma de Mallorca, Lisbon and Kiev.

A significant increase in the interest in travel was also recorded by the company Asiana, which operates the Letuška.cz website. The most popular destinations for them include Dubai, Zanzibar and the Maldives. According to the director of the company, people are attracted by lower prices that on average have decreased by 3,000 crowns, but also by flexible rules and conditions.
