Previous plan of recreational vouchers worth 10,000 crowns has been scrapped in favor of a 4,000 CZK discount on wellness stays.

To receive the discount, spa visitors will have to be 18 or older and have health insurance. They will also have to spend at least six nights at the wellness facility and undergo a minimum of five spa treatments. It is not yet clear when the discounts will be available.
Government's previous plan to revive domestic tourism involved vouchers worth 10,000 crowns for employees, paid partly by the state, the companies and the employees. Companies would later be able to deduct the costs from taxes. According to Hospodářské noviny (Economic Newspaper), the Ministry of Finance was not too keen on this idea.
There are a number of spa towns in the Czech republic - the biggest and most visited being Karlovy Vary.
