Ministry of health decided to stop using the quicktests for coronavirus that they ordered from China. Tests were used by GPs on people at the end of their quarantine. Ministry now claims these tests are not reliable.

Ministry of health bought these tests at the end of March and paid 135 million crowns for 700 thousand of them. The new regulation states that general practitioners can no longer use these rapid tests to end the quarantine. Now they must use so called CPR tests which are almost ten times more expensive. Quicktest costs roughly 180 crown whereas the CPR test costs 1500 crowns.

Ministry has not yet said what the GP should do with the Chinese quicktests and nor it responded to questions asked by other media like iDnes.cz and DenikN.
