Covid update
The risk score of the anti-epidemic system PES has remained on 71 points - in the fourth degree - for two days. It dropped on Sunday after nine days in the highest, fifth degree. The current measures correspond to the fifth degree from Sunday. On Sunday, there were 3,732 cases of coronavirus in the Czech Republic, with 38.7 percent of tests positive.

Vaccination continues
Vaccination against Covid-19 began in the Czech Republic on Sunday. The first doses of the vaccine at the Central Military Hospital (ÚVN) in Prague were given to the Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) and war veteran Emilie Řepíková. After less than ten thousand delivered vaccines, another twenty thousand will come to the Czech Republic next week. These will be intended, among other things, for the regions. The University Hospital Ostrava will receive almost three thousand doses, Babiš said.

Need for quarantine in Poland
From the 28th of December, new restrictions will apply at the Polish border. Citizens of Poland, as well as citizens of EU, EEA and Swiss countries who cross the Polish border will no longer be exempted from the quarantine obligation. People traveling by public transport will be sent to quarantine after crossing the border. Exemptions from the quarantine obligation will be granted to persons with a certificate of vaccination against Covid-19.
After strong winds many people have no electricity
After a strong Sunday wind, about 18,000 households in the Czech Republic are left without electricity this morning. The most common cause of failures is the fall of trees and branches into the line. There are problems in the Pardubice, Olomouc, South Moravian and Zlín regions and in the Vysočina Region.
