Public transport in Prague: 50% more expensive?

Prague is going to raise fares in public transport and parking fees in the blue zones due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The price increase comes due to a loss of fare revenue, as the number of tourists has gone down, and some people have stopped using public transport because they were concerned about catching the coronavirus.

According to the E15.cz server, there are proposals to increase the prices of almost all fare tariffs - possibly already this summer. For example, the cost of an annual pass would rise to 5,500 crowns from the current rate of 3,650 crowns (10 crowns a day).

The rise in the prices of blue parking zones has not yet been specified - but it is supposed to lead to an increase in public transport ticket sales.
