As the number of infected people is skyrocketing and with another unpleasant "record" of 1677 new cases on Tuesday, schools are getting ready for the possibility that they will have to shut down again.

Primary schools in the Czech Republic want to be ready by the end of September at the latest. With the growing number of people infected with a new type of coronavirus, shortly after the start of the new school year, schools are preparing for the option of closing as they did this spring.
Alternatively, a softer version of the closure might occur - that is, one or more classes will be quarantined. Schools are now checking with their students' parents to see if they have laptops or tablets with the internet connection at home. In computer science lessons, children learn how to connect with a teacher online. So that teaching can take place remotely.
School headmasters are taking these steps, despite the Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) said the Government would not close schools or make any general lockdown as it did in spring.
