Smart Quarantine: 106 outbreaks of Covid-19 in Czechia right now

People most often get infected in the family, they bring the infection, for example, from a children's camp or a party. Recently, cases have also been related to football clubs or weddings, Chief Hygienist Jarmila Rážová added. They also still occur in health care facilities or social services.

There are now 106 outbreaks of covid-19 in the Czech Republic. The government's representative for digitization and IT, Vladimír Dzurilla, told the reporters today on behalf of the Smart Quarantine team.

Last week, for the first time since the start of the epidemic, the number of positively tested exceeded 500 cases. According to the members of the Smart Quarantine team, more than 70 percent of the people are able to trace the source of the infection. These can then be assigned to a specific outbreak.

The largest outbreaks were in mines in the Karviná region. Other groups of infected people are, for example, from parties, weddings or various celebrations. Already 250 infected people have been connected with the Prague club Techtle Mechtle, 192 of them in Prague. Over 150 infected people have been connected with organized trips to dance parties in Croatia.
