The bilingual communication cards help during doctor visit

Heading to the doctor? Communication card provided by the Ministry of Health may come in handy.

Especially during these difficult times when the COVID-19 situation is getting worse, it may be necessary to see the doctor. To facilitate communication between Czech medical staff and foreign patients, the Ministry of Health provides bilingual communication cards on its website. The cards are available in nine language versions: in English, Arabic, Bulgarian, German, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.

Although the introductory website is not translated into language mutation, after downloading of cards each of them includes a set of questions in Czech language, translation into foreign language and its phonetic transcription. The cards are focused on the fields of pediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, nursing care and internal medicine. The last set of cards contains a list of health problems and terms related to alimentation.
