Up to 330 Czech crowns per room could be given to hotel owners that had to close their business during the coronavirus crisis - the Government agreed on financial aid on Monday.

The financial aid program called COVID Accommodation is supposed to cover part of the losses of the accommodation providers during the crisis months: March, April and May. This measure does not include Airbnb providers. The range of the aid will be from 100 crowns to 330 per night, per room.

Three to five-star hotels will receive 330 crowns, other accommodation services will be evaluated and will receive the corresponding amount. A hundred crowns are for camps and hostels. The Association of Hotels and Restaurants cooperated with the Ministry for Regional Development on the program and calculated the amounts from the average prices of accommodation. Nevertheless, according to AHR officials, the compensation will cover only part of the losses caused by government measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus (source: seznamzpravy.cz).
