People can buy respirators on public transport places

The Prague Transport Company (DPP) has been selling respirators at forty locations of the public transport. Passengers can buy them for personal use for a single price of 10 crowns per piece at DPP traffic information centers or at pre-sale points in the metro lobbies at selected stations. The Czech anti-covid drug is in the final stage of approval at the Institute for Drug Control, said Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) before leaving for a one-day visit to Israel. In Jerusalem, he will negotiate with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu primarily on vaccination. Czech scientists will exchange experiences with Israeli personalities who have developed an experimental anti-covid drug that works by inhalation. Record number of people vaccinated in one day

According to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO), 47,000 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in the Czech Republic on Wednesday. A total of 949,000 doses have been used so far, Babiš told reporters today before leaving for Israel. However, statistics from the Ministry of Health report only about 40,000 vaccinated people on Wednesday, although even that is the most in one day since last year's vaccination in the country.

The City for Everyone book has been published

The solution for how a city should work ideally is offered by a manual for beginner urban planners. Architect Osamu Okamura is the author of the publication The City for Everyone. It shows the opportunities and problems of today's metropolises. Artists Jiří Franta and David Böhm created a giant model of a paper city for the book.

According to the architects, the coronavirus crisis has showed how important it is to keep the city compact and to have everything one needs within reach. "In a city like this, you don't need a tram or a bus and not a car at all. You just walk, you are not obese, you are healthy and in the fresh air, you meet people you have fun with," explained the architect and author of the book Osamu Okamura.
