Covid update
The PES anti-epidemic risk index has dropped to 68 points. It corresponds to the fourth level and it has been in this level for 13 days. However, the fifth level still applies in the country. From the criteria from which the index is calculated, only the reproduction number has increased to 0.93. This follows from the data of the Ministry of Health.

Police director attended a birthday party in Teplice
Vladislav Husák, the Liberec regional police director, also took part in Saturday's celebration at the Prince de Ligne hotel in Teplice, according to media. Police President has already called on Husák to admit personal responsibility. The birthday celebrations of the businessman and former influential ČSSD politician Petr Benda were also attended by, for example, the chairman of the National Sports Agency Milan Hnilička (for ANO), the vice-chairman of the Czech Television Council Jiří Šlégr and the former prime minister Jiří Paroubek. Hnilička has already apologized and resigned from his position of a Member of Parliament.
Havlíček proposed the opening of ski resorts from Friday

The opening of ski resorts from this Friday was proposed at a government meeting by the Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček (for ANO). According to him, the ministry has already prepared a manual together with the Ministry of Health, which the ski lift operators would follow. It envisages, for example, that all skiers in queues and on cable cars would have to have a respirator. However, the government did not agree with the proposal. The minister is to prepare a stricter option by Wednesday's meeting.
Vaccination coordinator resigns
The national Covid-19 vaccination coordinator Zdeněk Blahuta resigned due to health reasons. The Ministry of Health announced this on Twitter. Blahuta became the coordinator last December, so he resigns after less than two months. He was previously the director of the State Institute for Drug Control. He told the newspaper Deník N that he did not want to comment on his departure but he was very glad that it was over.
