The government approved the state budget for next year

The government approved the draft state budget for next year with a deficit of 320 billion crowns, Minister of Finance Alena Schillerová (for ANO) informed about it. The proposal envisages an increase in pensions, an increase in teachers' salaries, higher spending on health or social benefits and an increase in investment.

The National Budget Council, opposition politicians and a number of economists have criticized the draft budget. The president Miloš Zeman has supported the proposal. The parliament should finally approve the state budget after the 15th of December.

Municipality offices full

Some offices are overloaded due to shortened opening hours and long queues are formed in front of them. People are encouraged to consider whether their visit is really necessary. At the same time, offices recommend online reservations, but dates are often booked for two weeks in advance. However, the ministries do not plan to temporarily recognize invalid documents, as was the case in the spring emergency.
