Have you received a strange package with mysterious seeds from China? Learn why you should not plant them!

The Czech Institute of Agriculture has already been notified two times about people receiving an unsolicited shipment of seeds from China. In some European countries, people have already gotten thousands of such packages. In summer, they also appeared in the US.

Officials have warned people not to plant these seeds, amid concerns they could belong to invasive species which may potentially threaten the local environment. The Institute of Agriculture requests that citizens report similar packages by e-mail and hand them over when asked.

The packages might be related to a scam used by online sellers to boost their own business. They send unsolicited items to people via fake accounts to generate a transaction which allows them to leave a positive review.
