The chairman of the Czech Senate, Miloš Vystrčil (ODS), continues his trip in Taiwan. Chinese diplomacy heavily criticises Vystrčil's journey as it opposes the Chinese principles of one united China.

"We are getting him to pay a high price for his short-sighted behaviour and political opportunism," Chinese Foreign Minister Wang I told Vystrčil. Czech diplomacy will meet a Chinese ambassador for this.
Beijing demands that all countries with which it has diplomatic relations adhere to the principles of one China. This means, among other things, that they should not establish interstate relations with Taiwan, which Beijing considers to be its breakaway province.
During his visit of Taiwan, Vystrčil has already attended a seminar for representatives of Czech and local companies, and at Chengdu University in his speech, he mentioned the legacy of democracy and the need to defend freedom.
China has repeatedly protested against the trip. President Miloš Zeman and Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO), for example, also disagreed with the flight. On the contrary, Vystrčil received support from the United States.
