Testing in big municipality offices start
Public authorities with 50 or more employees must start testing them today. From the 17th of March, employees will not be admitted to the workplace without a negative Covid-19 test. Part of the tests originally purchased for schools should be used for testing in the state administration. The government decided on Monday that another stock of antigenic tests for the public sector and schools will be made by the State Material Reserves Administration, which is to collect 7.65 million test sets.
Fewer new cases than last week

On Tuesday, there were 15,196 cases of Covid-19 in the Czech Republic, about 1,600 less than a week ago. On Monday, however, according to revised data, there were a record 9,000 hospitalized people in hospitals. According to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO), the Czech Republic could receive an additional 80,000 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine in March.
Tibetan flags will be hanged

By hanging Tibetan flags today, town halls, regional authorities and schools in the Czech Republic will commemorate the uprising of Tibet against the Chinese occupation. The Lungta Association, which is organizing the Flag for Tibet event, will then in the afternoon, by hoisting flags in front of the Chinese embassy in Prague, remember 156 Tibetans who burned themselves in protest against the oppression by the Chinese regime. An estimated 80,000 Tibetans died in 1959 during protests against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. First patient transported to Poland
An ambulance on Tuesday took a Czech patient with Covid-19 to a hospital in Racibórz, Poland. The trip lasted two and a half hours. The transport was required due to the overcrowding of hospitals in the region related to the coronavirus pandemic. The second patient, who was expected to be transported to Poland, remains in the Pardubice Hospital for the time being, as his condition has worsened.
