Vaccination for people over the age of 30 has opened



As of today, more than seven million Czechs can apply for vaccination against Covid-19 based on age alone. At midnight, registration was launched for people aged 30 to 34, of which there are over 722,000. About 66,000 of them have already received at least one dose of the vaccine, as they were preferably vaccinated as health professionals, teachers and other selected professions or the chronically ill. As of the 1st of June, people over the age of 16 will be able to register for vaccination.


Belavia will not operate in the Czech Republic


The Czech Republic will suspend the operation of Belarusian airline Belavia in the country from Friday. The decision was made today by the State Security Council, Deputy Prime Minister Karel Havlíček (for ANO) informed at a press conference. It is a reaction to Sunday's forced landing of a Ryanair plane in Minsk. Czech Airlines (CSA), which flies to Moscow, will avoid Belarus, spokeswoman Vladimíra Dufková told ČTK today.


MP Feri to resign due to accusations of sexual violence


TOP 09 MP Dominik Feri resigns from office due to accusations by several women of inappropriate sexual behaviour. He will also not participate in the October parliamentary elections, in which he was to run in fourth place for Prague. Feri had previously denied allegations of sexual violence. He will defend himself against the accusations in court.
