Czech cities are planning to clear the car wrecks from the streets faster. This might be easier thanks to the amendment to the Road Act. For example, if a technical inspection has expired and is invalid for more than six months, the car can be removed from the streets.

Stricter rules are already in place for example in Sokolov city. The new amendment was put in place at the end of April, which means that from October the police officers can start removing the car wrecks.

Car wrecks are usually not complete cars - they miss tires or other vital parts for driving. Some of them are also damaged by hoodlums and as a consequence they even leak chemicals. Many cities have problems with car wrecks in their streets for they fill parking spaces that could be used by drivers.
